Kosovo’s Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj, visited works for construction of the Decan-Plave road along with ambassadors of EU countries, members of the Council for Protection of Cultural Heritage, the head of the EU Office Nataliya Apostolova and KFOR Commander Salvatore Cuoci. Lekaj underlined at the site that the construction works are not going to affect the Special Protective Zone of the Orthodox Monastery and that the road is intended to provide development to the region. “Lekaj said the project has no other goal but to facilitate road traffic and provide a road infrastructure for businesses, goods, and residents of this area,” reads a press release issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
