President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, told RTV Dukagjini that his idea on ‘border adjustment’ with Serbia has received ‘overwhelming’ support from the people both in Kosovo and Presevo Valley. “If there is agreement by the two sides on this, no one will oppose it,” Thaci said. He however rejected the possibility of Kosovo’s partition as part of the final settlement with Serbia. “Kosovo is an independent and sovereign country and there will be no partition or exchange,” Thaci said adding: “There can and should be unification of Medvedja, Bujanovac and Presevo with Kosovo, but the rest is all fake news.” He said that the issue concerning Presevo Valley’s unification with Kosovo will be discussed September. “I believe in September there will be an open discussion on this issue but everything will be transparent. I will talk to the citizens of Kosovo and seriously consider the possibility of the citizens expressing their will on whether they agree to the Valley’s unification with Kosovo,” he noted.
