Former KLA commander of Llapi operative zone, Rrustem Mustafa – Rremi, said KLA had around 20 thousand soldiers. “I know that the precise number of the KLA soldiers was archived, and approximately, based on all the sources, be it KLA structures, NATO data and organizations such as IOM, the number is 20.000 soldiers. Recently during the debates, members of the General Headquarters, such as general Sylejman Selimi, Spiro Butko, Jakup Krasniqi, also came up with statements and mentioned this precise number of soldiers,” Mustafa told Gazeta Express.

Asked about “Hasan Prishtina” brigade, which is mentioned in the indictment of the prosecutor Elez Blakaj, Mustafa said he is not aware of the fact as he can only talk about the zone where he was a commander.  “I do not have information about other zones, but I know that the number of soldiers of my operation zone is as reported in the media, so around 5000 soldiers, the same as the number which appears on the recent verified list of veterans.

Insajderi however reports that the names of Mustafa’s two brothers, Bedri and Gani Mustafa, appear in the list of the fake war veterans who allegedly served at his operation zone.
