The European Investors Council has reacted to the assault on the director of insurance company, Illyria, Gianni Sokolic, the news website reports. Sokolic and Blerim Pushkolli, head of the Kosovo Insurances Bureau, were assaulted on Wednesday by Gani Thaci, brother of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci. The European Investors Council issued a statement today saying it strongly condemns the assault and that such incidents are unacceptable and highly destructive to the business environment in Kosovo. The Council also said that as representative of foreign businesses it is willing to cooperate with all components of civil society and state institutions to avoid such misfortunate incidents from happening again.
