Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, met today with representatives of the Kosovo Power Corporation (KEK), Kosovo Electricity Distribution and Supply Company (KEDS) and the Energy Regulatory Office (ERR), and called for an immediate solution for a stable supply with electricity. Haradinaj expressed his concern over the recent severe power cuts and called on all stakeholders to mobilize on the matter. “The Kosovo government remains committed to securing a proper environment for electricity production and supply in Kosovo, starting with the problem of expropriations, and now with full responsibility and competency calls on all other stakeholders to meet their obligations in Kosovo so that we no longer face problems with electricity supply,” Haradinaj said at the meeting. “Power cuts are unacceptable and they will not be tolerated, especially during winter,” Haradinaj wrote in a Facebook post after the meeting.
