Drecun: Nasim Haradinaj best argument against Kosovo army (RTS)

Chairman of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told RTS that the statement of Nasim Haradinaj, who said he was killing Serb soldiers whenever he could and that he regrets of not killing as many as he wanted, is scandalous and serves as the best evidence why Kosovo army should not be formed. Speaking for the RTS morning news edition, Drecun said this indicates the absence of progress in Kosovo and Metohija, that there is no progress in the functioning of the institutions and in prosecuting those who have committed war crimes. “Someone who confessed killing regular members of the security forces is walking free, even more he is politically active, belongs to Haradinaj’s party, and this is something unacceptable. If the West tells Kosovo is progressing, then somebody should explain the fact that somebody who was killing is bragging about it,” Drecun noted. He also briefly recalled Nasim Haradinaj’s biography. “Nasim Haradinaj in 1984 was identified as extremist, and he escaped to Sweden. There he was collecting the money for Albanian extremists, and joined the Peoples’ Movement for Kosovo, it is one of the parties that established the terrorist KLA. Then he recruited and infiltrated terrorists in Kosovo, returned there and became a member of KLA headquarters.” Drecun added, that Nasim Haradinaj as terrorist who was killing members of Serbian security forces and civilians became a member of Kosovo Protection Corpse. Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) came out from the Kosovo Protection Corpse, and from the KSF so-called army of Kosovo should have been established. “This army in its structure would also have so-called veterans. And there you go, a veteran – in fact a plain murderer should be in that army. And when we warn about the fact it would be a factor that would endanger Serbian people and a factor that would destabilize the region, all other remain silent. In fact, Nasim Haradinaj is the best evidence why such an army should not have been formed,” Drecun pointed out.
