Dodik: If Kosovo joins UN, RS would refer to that right (Tanjug, B92)

If self-declared Kosovo joins the United Nations, Republic of Srpska (RS) would refer to that right, Chairman of the Bosnian Presidency Milorad Dodik said, Tanjug news agency reports. Dodik consider that Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina would also not miss a chance to secede from Bosnia and Herzegovina. “I think, if the constellation is made as such, Croats either will not miss a chance to secede from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Then the question would arise who would stay there?” Dodik told RTS. He recalled that the Republic of Srpska (RS) immediately after Kosovo unilaterally declared independence, adopted a resolution in the National Assembly, that in case Kosovo joins the UN, Republic of Srpska (RS) would have the right to separate from Bosnia and Hercegovina. “It is written in our resolution, 10 years ago,” Dodik said, adding that such a scenario of separating from Bosnia and Herzegovina by the will of people, can be imagined without war. He further noted, Bosniacs do not want that now, but by the time they would realize it would be the best for them as well to have the territory they can manage prosperously and have authority over it. According to Dodik, Kosovo is all-Serbs issue. “In a state sense it is the issue of Serbia, but in the sense of national understanding and comprehension of this issue, it is all-Serbs issue,” Dodik said, underlining there is no Serb without a stance on Kosovo and Metohija issue.
