Djuric to Pristina: Keep your hands away from our university (RTS)
Pristina University with a temporary headquarters in Mitrovica North was and will be in the Serbian education system, says Director of the Office for KiM, Marko Djuric, reports Radio television of Serbia (RTS) quoting the Office for KiM website.
"Keep your hands away from our university, it cannot be kidnapped because knowledge is acquired on it!'' said Djuric.
Pristina University with a temporary headquarters in Mitrovica North is part of the European University Association and with close to 8,000 active students has been and remains the pillar of Serbian survival in Kosovo, according to the website of the KiM Office.
"That is why every attack on its present status is actually an attack on the elementary rights of the Serbian people and an act of aggressive arbitrariness that has the sole purpose of aggravating the survival of our people in Kosovo," Djuric said.
He reminded that Pristina University was once established as a branch of the Belgrade University, and that today it is the only higher education institution with a teaching in Serbian language in Kosovo.
He said that the Serbs in Kosovo would never surrender their university and would never give up the right to study in their own language and within the educational system of their state of Serbia, reported Serbian media.
