Serbia concerned with situation in north, ready to protect its people, Dacic says (Blic)
Belgrade-based daily Blic reports that Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said today that he reported to the foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group and the Western Balkans at a meeting in Bratislava that Serbia was concerned about the situation in Kosovo and that it is firmly resolved to protect its people.
He also said that the intrusion of Pristina forces in the north of Kosovo was one of the main topics at the meeting in Bratislava. Most of the participants in the meeting said, as Dacic said, expressed great concern, including Angelina Eichhorst, director of the Western Balkans at the European External Affairs Service.
Meanwhile, Blic also reported on the statement of Dr. Darko Elek from Mitrovica North North Hospital said he had information that seven people, random passers-by, were beaten and that huge material damage was caused.
He added that the received information from the Health Center Zubin Potok explaining that there are a lot people with light injuries and that great material damage was done in houses, buildings and on parked vehicles.
He also added that ROSU hindered and prevented the transport of the injured to the Clinical Center, and the injured were taken care of in the Health Center in Zubin Potok.
