Dačić: Pristina throwing UNMIK out of Kosovo (KoSSev)
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that Pristina authorities wish to throw UNMIK out of Kosovo, because they think that UN should not be present there and added that they also wish to reduce number of United Nations Security Council’s sessions on Kosovo. “We insist on the United Nations presence so that we could present all questions,” said Dacic to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) and added that the dialogue in Brussels is different mater which does not refer the status issue.
In the eve of the presentation of the newest report of the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on UNMIK at the UN Security Council on Friday, Dacic said that Serbia is open for talks, no matter on all problems.
He reflected on the talks with Pristina authorities in Brussels and said that Belgrade wants talks to continue, that Association/Community of Serbs municipalities is established and better atmosphere created for continuation of the dialogue. He also assessed that decision on dismissal of the Serb minister Aleksandar Jablanovic from the Kosovo government will influence the mutual trust. “The main question is – whether there is political will for implementation of what was agreed,” said Dacic. The dialogue in Brussels is due to resume on 9 February.
