Đurić with Peter Due about dialogue and the recent moves of Pristina (KIM radio)
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić met with Peter Due Director for Asia, Middle East, Europe and Latin America in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations of the United Nations, and informed him about the dialogue and the latest moves of Pristina.
Đurić said that Belgrade wants stability in the Serb-Albanian relations, because, as he said, it is the only guarantee of long-term survival of the Serbian people in the province.
Đurić commented on the recent moves of Pristina that, as he points out, place the addressing of some issues of crucial interest for the Serbs from the framework of the dialogue into the field of political arbitrariness.
"He pointed to the fact that such moves negatively affect the attitude of the public opinion in Serbia towards the dialogue with Pristina but also towards the process of European integration," the statement said.
The interlocutors also addressed the acute problems of the Serbian people in Kosovo in light of the forthcoming regular report of the Secretary General of the United Nations on the situation in Kosovo.
