Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Đurić had a meeting today in Belgrade with the representatives of the ten Serbian majority municipalities from Kosovo regarding the upcoming local elections in Kosovo and on “how significant it would be for the Srpska Lista to confirm and strengthen the political unity of Serbian people in those elections.”

Đurić said it is crucial that the Srpska Lista participates at the local elections on 22 October with the best candidates, who will be able to gather the people and achieve the highly needed political unity in all Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija, and who will offer to the citizens a concrete and tangible program,” the press statement of the Office for Kosovo said.

“Srpska Lista, as a strategic political project of national importance for Serbia and Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, must be able to articulate the will of Serbs in the southern province in the best possible way, to protect their interests and as a tool of the state of Serbia, to achieve as much influence as possible and preserve the institutional ties with Serbia,” Đurić said.

Chair of Srpska Lista and Mitrovica North mayor, Goran Rakić invited all citizens of Serbia from Kosovo and to be united and to lead a common fight.

“Srpska Lista is a party that, in cooperation and with the support of Belgrade, brings together under one banner, all Serbs who have Serbia in their hearts and for whom the interests and better life of our people in the province comes first and therefore will never cooperate with those who place personal interests ahead of the national” Rakić said.
