Marko Jaksic: General capitulation is expected (Danas)
Marko Jaksic, member of the Serb “Fatherland” Movement from Kosovo told Danas daily Serbs from Kosovo do not know what a plan for Kosovo would contain, but they can sense what it could take from secret visits of the Serbian President to Paris and meeting with Hashim Thaci, as well as from his current stay in New York.
“What is being spoken about these days is that Serbian President intends to preserve north of Kosovo, and to give the South of Serbia to the self-declared Kosovo for the sake of symmetry. One could also hear that Vucic is ready to sign a comprehensive agreement on Kosovo. Additionally, one could hear that the President is ready to give up on the southern province and to get some minor concessions in return,” Jaksic said.
“When it comes to the future status of Kosovo to the UN, one could hear that after the signing of a comprehensive, peace agreement, the President of Serbia would request Russia and China to veto Kosovo membership to the UN for the sake of peace and stabilization in the Balkans. Speaking in plain language, it is a general capitulation,” Jaksic added.
Jaksic also said this is what the Serbs in Kosovo talk about these days, however, they do not have official information despite it is directly linked with their destiny in Kosovo.
