Dacic: It is absolutely untrue there is any ultimatum (RTS)
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told RTS he expects nothing spectacular from today’s meeting in Brussels. He also pointed out Serbia will never accept unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
Speaking for the RTS news edition, Dacic said there are many fake news related to Kosovo lately, and one can read some spectacular information every day, however “famous” Thursday when it was announced that somebody from Germany would bring a proposal or ultimatum has also passed.
“This Thursday passed, who came, who brought what, we all know Vucic was not here, nobody visited me either, so whom did they visit to bring any proposal, it is a big lie,” Dacic said.
He also added one can read in the newspapers that somebody sets deadlines that Vucic has to accept something by June or March next year, but who can set any deadlines to us? Dacic asked.
He again repeated these are false information, and the only accurate thing is it is necessary to reach some sort of agreement, a legally binding agreement between Belgrade and Pristina.
Dacic said it is not easy to talk to Albanians, but it is even more difficult to talk to Vucic in his condition, disappointed with the attitude of the international community.
Speaking about an ultimatum to “enable Kosovo seat at the UN or Serbian EU integration would be blocked,” Dacic said it cannot happen.
“As I said, no one in the EU can tell what this agreement should contain, because there are five EU member states that have not recognized Kosovo independence,” Dacic reminded.
He also said Spain will not take part in any activities where Kosovo participates.
