Dacic: Russian stance on Kosovo does not differ from Serbian stance (Tanjug)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency, Russian stance on Kosovo and Metohija is not contradictory to what Serbia is doing.

“Their position is same as ours, and it is preservation of territorial integrity of Serbia and non-recognition of Pristina’s unilateral acts. That stance is not contradicting to what we are doing,” Dacic said commenting on the statement of the Russian Ambassador in Belgrade, Alexander Chepurin who said Kosovo should return into the legal and the state field of Serbia.

Dacic: Thaci’s visit to Presevo valley is not announced (Tanjug, RTS, TV N1)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister, Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency today that visit of Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci to the municipalities in southern Serbia is not announced.

Pristina-based media earlier reported about unofficial information from the Kosovo President Thaci’s Cabinet that Hashim Thaci together with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn would visit on Wednesday the three municipalities populated by Albanians in Southern Serbia.

Dacic: Vucic in Brussels with Mogherini only (RTS, B92)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will talk in Brussels with European representatives only, but not with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, RTS reported.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic neither confirmed nor denied this information, saying it is certain Vucic would talk to EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, and would decide there about other meetings.

Dacic: To seriously consider every option offered for Kosovo (BETA, TV N1)

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is in its crucial phase and that every offered option for Kosovo should be seriously considered, TV N1 reported.

Dacic made these remarks at an informal gathering of the foreign affairs ministers within the South-East European Cooperation Process taking place in Banja Luka, adding that Serbia showcased readiness for compromise and constructive proposals, in order to reach mutually acceptable, sustainable and long-term solution.

The fact that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and USA President Donald Trump spoke about Kosovo and gave support to the talks that lead to the resolution of this issue is a great step ahead, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Belgrade-based daily Blic.

Dacic added, this is a proof that the things have changed and go in favour of Serbia.

“This is a major breakthrough, and prof things have changed. However, a great struggle awaits us, and among those that should be further influenced, Germany is the most important,” Dacic said.

Dacic: Nobody offers entire Kosovo to stay within Serbian borders (RTS, BETA, B92)

Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said that Serbia is being given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get something for its people and citizens in Kosovo and Metohija.

"This is about whether we get something or lose everything," Dacic told RTS. He added that they could refuse that chance but that "we shouldn't play dumb now, because nobody is proposing that entire Kosovo stays within the borders of Serbia."

He said the dialogue is yet to continue and the possible solutions are yet to be proposed.

Lavrov: Resolution 1244 is most important international document (KoSSev)

„Russia is always committed to the strict and accurate fulfillment and compliance with UN SC Resolution 1244. We support the actions of Belgrade aimed at fulfilling this most important international document,”  Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Sochi yesterday following the meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic, KoSSev portal reported.

Minister Lavrov also called on KFOR and EULEX to „prevent any attempts of violence and vandalism in Kosovo, in particular against Serbs and religious sites.“

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says all those who are now saying that there can be no change of borders should be ashamed of themselves.

Dacic said he had in mind "those who knocked down our border and opened Pandora's box" - referring to the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo, a province of Serbia.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he sees no readiness on Pristina's part to reach a compromise when it comes to Kosovo's status.

But Pristina has some things that "must be done," Dacic told Prva TV on Wednesday morning. According to him, "there will no better time for resolving the Kosovo issue." Dacic said that talks will be intensified in the next few months in an attempt to find a lasting solution for the status of Kosovo and Metohija.

He says there are two reasons for that.
