The so-called Kosovo army is an army being created to threaten Serbia and the Serbs, Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin said, in reaction to Kosovo Assembly passing the draft laws on Kosovo Security Forces (KSF) transformation, RTS reports today.
Vulin underlined he would talk today with the representatives of KFOR in Kosovo and that the conversation would regard Pristina's adoption of the laws on the Kosovo army.
“Policy of the USA towards Kosovo is not new, but the arrogance of the USA Ambassador and disrespect he showed towards Serbia is,” Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin stated, Tanjug news agency reported.
This way Vulin responded to the USA Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott post on Twitter, following his inappropriate statement about Kosovo, made in the Government of Serbia building, that Kosovo is not so-called by an independent state, a press statement from the Ministry of Defense reads.
Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic thinks that Minister of Defense adequately reacted to the statement of US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, who earlier said that Kosovo is an independent state, Tanjug news agency reported.
PM Brnabic added that Ambassador’s Scott statement is scandalous and inappropriate.
“This is inappropriate, not only in diplomacy, but also represents a disrespect of the host, given that the statement was made in the building of the Government of Serbia,” Brnabic told journalists.
“I am sorry that Ambassador Scott has not tried to show his arrogance at some event with President Vucic, because he would be thrown out on his ear from the Government (building),“ the Serbian Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin said, reacting to the statement of the US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, who said in the Serbian government building, as Tanjug news agency reported, that Kosovo is an „independent state“.
Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin met on Monday in Belgrade with Chairman of the NATO Military Committee General Stuart Pеаch.
According to the Serbian government, Vulin said that Serbia is firmly committed to maintaining the position of military neutrality and that the Partnership for Peace (PfP) program is the optimal form of cooperation with that organization.
Serbian Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin said the military combat readiness in the south of Serbia would be cancelled when assessment that “obstacles are lowered” is made, BETA news agency reports today.
Vulin also added, decision on it would be made following his talks with Serbian Army Chief-of-Staff General Milan Mojsilovic and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Serbian Defense Minister, Aleksandar Vulin said he thinks that delineation with Kosovo and Metohija is the best solution, adding that this is his personal stance, Tanjug news agency reported.
Vulin is also convinced such solution would prevent creation of “Great Albania” which he as a minister and politician sees as a greatest danger for the region.
“The “Great Albania” has to be stopped in Kosovo. Its spreading must be stopped there, also the process of destabilization of the region must stop there. Otherwise is not possible,” Vulin told Tanjug.
