Shala: "We sit together in the Assembly, why not a joint army?" (RTK2)

Advisor to the Kosovo President Blerim Shala told the RTK2, (the Show "Poglavlje" (Chapter)), that "the momentum of the historic agreement between Kosovo and Serbia must be defined," and that there must be a time limit for the talks.

Secretary General of the Serbian President, Nikola Selakovic said today that an internal dialogue on Kosovo would continue this month and rejected criticism that the dialogue is staged, adding these are the first serious and open talks on Kosovo, without politicians being main stakeholders, Serbian media reported.

He said the dialogue would continue and it would include representatives of the academic communities, scientific institutes, and respectful national cultural institutions.

Kosovo issue might be reason for elections (Danas)

Obtaining legitimacy and wider citizens’ support for resolution of the Kosovo issue, governing Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and its coalition partners could use as a reason to call for extraordinary parliamentary elections, Danas daily reports.

Such conclusion could be made based on the earlier explanations the government provided to the president, and based on that he would call for the extraordinary elections.

Sutanovac: Parliamentary debate instead of staged dialogue (N1)

President of Democratic Party (DS), Dragan Sutanovic commenting on the first roundtable within the internal dialogue on Kosovo, said that DS expects a true debate in the parliament and not a staged dialogue, TV N1 reported.

Sutanovac also said the parliament is the only place where the dialogue on crucially important topics for the state and society should take place.

Director of the Forum for Ethnic Relations Dusan Janjic said, visiting the N1 show ''Dan Uzivo'', that the commitment of Serbia in the future - to go to the EU or against the EU - is more important than the Kosovo issue. This, he says, implies the recognition of reality, which does not mean recognition of independence, but means accepting Kosovo in the UN without the opposition of Serbia.
