"Serb representatives will work in the interest of the community"(KiM radio)

While in opposition in Pristina believe that the Serbs would be the deciding factor in the executive branch in Kosovo, Slobodan Petrovic believes that the new cabinet members will not have too much influence, but will work in the interests of their community.

He repeated that it was not important only a number of ministries but also  people who would lead the ministries, and that they would show their best now and wished them much success.

The leader of the Independent Liberal Party (SLS), Slobodan Petrovic confirmed for Dnevnik that the Serbian list would accept to be part of the new ruling coalition in Kosovo, while he denied that some special conditions would be placed for Hashim Thaci and Isa Mustafa. Petrovic, who has been vice president of Thaci's previous government, explains that the basis for discussion would be topics that are on the table from day one - the issue of return, the formation of the ZSO, privatization, SPC and economic status of the Serbian community.

PRISTINA - The Independent Liberal Party (SLS) re-elected in Pristina on Sunday Slobodan Petrovic as their president.

Petrovic is also the minister of administration and local government and deputy prime minister in Kosovo's provisional government.

The SLS has close to 8,000 members, he said in a report presented at the election meeting, adding he hoped SLS officials would be in Kosovo's next government as well.

Complete Istok/Istog municipal board resigned (RTK2)

The whole Municipal Board of Independent Liberal Party (SLS) from Istok/Istog submitted resignation from all positions and membership in the party. This is the second municipal board that collectively left the party of outgoing Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Slobodan Petrovic, after Strpce/Shterpce Board did the same, one day ago. 

Vesna Maliković, member of the SLS Main Board, president of Istok/Istog municipal board Dragan Repanović, Deputy President and 12 members of municipal board, as well as all members of the party, which is 241 persons, had left the party. 

Jevtic: Dissatisfaction over Petrovic’s self-will (KiM Radio)

Dalibor Jevtic told KiM radio that he and four other members of the SLS Main Board left because of dissatisfaction with the party work and self-will of Slobodan Petrovic.
