Thaci: Meeting with Pence, a new phase of Kosovo-USA relations (RTK)

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that today’s meeting with the Vice-President of the United States of America, Mike Pence, will mark a new phase of the bilateral relations. He said that he will request at the meeting with Pence direct involvement of the U.S. in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. “I will have a meeting at the White House with Vice-President Pence, and I will request continuance of the U.S. support on strengthening international position for economic development of Kosovo and Euro-Atlantic integration,” Thaci said.

Pence: Kosovo to join NATO (Zeri/RTK)

The U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said that his country want to see Kosovo part of NATO. Kosovo will very soon join NATO. He said the U.S. will be engaged in eliminating all obstacles for Kosovo becoming full-fledged member of the Adriatic Charter and NATO. “The U.S. continues to support dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for normalization of relations and good neighbourhood”, Pence said in Podgorica where he is attending the U.S.-Adriatic Charter summit.
