The KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met yesterday Vucina Jankovic, Mayor of Zvecan/Zveqan.

General Miglietta and Mayor of Zvecan/Zveqan discussed the current situation in Kosovo with specific focus on the North.

House of a priest in the village of Osojane in Istok/Istog municipality in Kosovo was looted during the weekend.

Minister of Communities and Returns in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic told Tanjug that this attack and robbery of the house in Osojane, returnees' village,  is worrying.

Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) Kosovo strongly condemns the recent armed attack on the village of Gorazhdevc/Goraždevac in the municipality of Peja/Peć. HLC Kosovo recalls that, in the past, attacks against local Serbs in this region almost never led to appropriate police investigations. The recurrent failure to arrest perpetrators of these crimes creates a climate of insecurity for Serb citizens of this village and of Kosovo at large, and has a negative impact on the establishment of civic trust in Kosovo institutions.

President of the Serbian List Slavko Simic announced that it is worrying that still there is no progress about finding the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Gorazdevac and that members of the Serbian list and the Serbian people in Kosovo are particularly concerned because after this attack occurred another, in Srbobran.

The number of Serbs in Kosovo, after the Brussels talks, every day is reducing says director of the NGO European Movement of Serbs from Gracanica, Rada Trajkovic.

According to her assessment, Serbs are leaving Kosovo because they do not trust the Kosovo institutions.

Minister of Communities and Returns in the Kosovo government Dalibor Jevtic says that the security situation in Kosovo is fragile and it is necessary to act preventively to avoid escalation. 

He condemned the attack on the property of doctor from Donja Gusterica and also pointed out that he requested from the Kosovo Police to provide patrol which would ensure 24 hours village Gojbulja near Vucitrn/Vushtrri.

Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric stated that Serbia is interested in restoring the flights between Belgrade and Pristina after 16 years, adding that the issue of establishing air traffic between the two cities is different and separate issue from the control over the lower airspace.

In the past ten days in Mitrovica have been reported three attempted abductions of children. The number of police officers in the vicinity of schools in this city will be increased.

Kosovo police arrested yesterday in Mitrovica a person suspected of involvement in these cases, but was soon released because the person was not identified by children and parents.

Around 13:00 pm, there was a spontaneous gathering of citizens in northern Kosovo, in Rudare in the municipality of Zvecan/Zveqan, on the part of the main road Pristina-Raska. There were around a hundred citizens gathered, among which were and the Presidents of the provisional institutions of Mitrovica, Leposavic/Leposaviq and Zvecan/Zveqan.

Near the school in Kosovska Kamenica group of Albanian high school students physically attacked Vukasin Nikolic. Parents and pupils request hiring of the school policeman. In the Police was stated that attackers were found and that the case was handed over to judiciary.
