A petition that Albanians from Ugljare village submitted to the Kosovo Polje municipality relates to the part of the village where they make up the majority, and not to the entire village, as some media reported, where Serbs make up the majority, RTK 2 reports.

Due to different announcements and incomplete information, Serb inhabitants from Ugljare village submitted to Gracanica municipality a request with 600 signatures to remain part of Gracanica municipality.

In recent days, Radio Television of Serbia reports, the Municipality of Gracanica is in the spotlight because of the handover of a part of the territory to the municipality of Kosovo Polje and has returned a part of the social land to its possession. The latest case from this municipality is the petition of Albanian residents of the village of Ugljare, to join the municipality of Kosovo Polje.

Kontakt plus radio today has dealt with the issue of the residents of Preoce and Ugljare villages. The radio writes on its website that the citizens do not know anything about the possibility of becoming residents of Kosovo Polje. Recall the municipalities of Gracanica and Kosovo Polje adopted a decision on "arranging cadastral zones".

Kontakt plus radio reports that it is still unknown which parts of these two villages will belong to the Kosovo Polje municipality.

Kosovo Polje municipality launched an initiative and established a team that would in the following days collect signatures of Ugljare inhabitants, the village in Gracanica municipality, to merge the village with neighbouring Kosovo Polje municipality, RTV KIM learns.

Kosovo Polje municipality confirmed the initiative to RTV KIM. The source from the municipality could not tell when its officials would start the visits on the ground, however it would happen very soon.

Security, selling of houses and properties, unemployment and bad infrastructure are the biggest problems in the village of Ugljare, nearby Kosovo Polje, inhabitants from the village said during the meeting with Gracanica mayor Srdjan Popovic, KIM Radio reports.

Mayor Srdjan Popovic paid a visit to this village to see how the situation is, following inscription of offensive graffiti on a school wall some time ago.

Nenad Joksimovic, village inhabitant said security is the main problem in this village.

The latest display of ethnic intolerance and hatred in the village of Ugljare, near Gracanica continues a series of ethnically motivated attacks against Serbs in January, Srpska Lista said, Kontakt Plus Radio reported.

Srpska Lista also said this is the 9^th attack against Serbs in Ugljare village this month.

During the last night, two vehicles and livestock were stolen in Serbian households in Gorazdevac. According to Radio Gorazdevac a van was stolen from Misko Jovanovic, and Branko Stevanovic's vehicle has disappeared from the backyard.

On the same night, from the stables of the Portic family, a cow with calf was stolen. These events disturbed the local population, Radio Gorazdevac reported.

Thefts were reported to the police that started the investigation.
