Vetevendosje Spokesperson: AAK and NISMA should stop flirting with the government (Indeksonline)

The Spokesperson of the Vetevendosje movement, Frasher Krasniqi appealed to the two opposition parties, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), to stop flirting with the governing coalition.

Krasniqi also called during a press conference on the AAK and NISMA, to join them in the protest against the government. He said that vagueness and differences should be clarified by Ramush Haradinaj’s and Fatmir Limaj’s parties.

OSCE helps municipalities for community advancement (Indeksonline)

The Municipalities of Pristina, Gracanica, Shtime/Stimlje, Lipjan/Lipljan, Fushe Kosove/Kosovo Polje and Obilic, with the assistance of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, signed a declaration today which aims to promote dialogue and cooperation between communities. The head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Jean-Claude Schlumberger, said that such activities promote diversity in municipalities. He said that communities should have the full support of the relevant municipalities.

Senior PDK official to be arrested soon? (Indeksonline)

Citing sources in the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, the news site reports that a senior member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is expected to be arrested soon. “This official is expected to be arrested very soon, as there is an order from the Special Prosecution and because investigations in this case are now over,” the source said. The source could not reveal the identity of the suspect but said that he was already mentioned in the past for his suspected involvement in criminal activities.

Vetevendosje Movement MP Ilir Deda said today that chances are very low for opposition parties to create a joint election list. “It is now clear that chances are low for opposition parties to come up with a joint election list. This is of great regret since the opposition could win the elections only if united and with a clear government program,” Deda said.
