Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli met on Thursday with a delegation headed by former US Congressman Earl Pomeroy, member of the House Democracy Partnership (HDP). Veseli stressed the importance of support provided historically by the United States, in particular the current positive developments and support for the Assembly of Kosovo. "Through this support, we have managed to build and advance our capabilities in many respects, parliamentary research, reform of the legislative process, strengthening oversight mechanisms and increasing transparency,” Veseli said.
Thaci welcomes the adoption of the Stablization and Association Agreement (Lajmi)
Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Hashim Thaci has welcomed the adoption of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) by the European Commission on Thursday. "I welcome the news of the approval of the SAA by the European Commission, which is now sent to the EU member states who will take the final decision on the signing of the SAA with Kosovo," Thaci wrote in his Facebook page. "The next step is to as soon as possible to sign this document, which would formalize and strengthen the relationship between Kosovo and the EU.

Mustafa requires more money from the EU and World Bank (Lajmi)
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, participated on Tuesday in a joint conference on socio-economic development of Kosovo, organized by the government of Kosovo, the European Union Office in Kosovo and the World Bank. At this meeting, Prime Minister Mustafa has expressed the need for a greater assistance in Kosovo from the European Union and other European institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, the German Development Bank.
305 Kosovo Police members under investigation (Lajmi)
The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo (PIK) is investigating 305 members of the Kosovo Police (KP). This figure is derived only for 2014. The Police Inspectorate which is responsible for police assistance in improving performance, has dealt with a total of 1,304 cases for one year. Measures and recommendations given by PIK during 2014, have included: 20 arrests, 64 recommendations for suspensions and 13 recommendations for transfer. During the same year PIK has investigated 83 criminal acts with elements of corruption and abuse of official duty.
Thaci: Visa liberalization for Kosovo within this year (Lajmi)
Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, on Thursday met with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. Thaci and Mogherini discussed Kosovo’s progress on the European Union journey. “We discussed the need to continue with the Pristina – Belgrade dialogue and implementation of the agreements reached so far, the establishment of the special court and Kosovo’s success in organizing the Conference of the Western Balkans,” Thaci wrote on his Facebook page.
