Stefanović: The request of the Minister of Albania is unacceptable interference in the sovereignty of Serbia (Blic)

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović said today in a letter to the Secretary General of Interpol Jürgen Stock that the request of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Albania for the reassessment of the red warrant for Ramush Haradinaj represented rough and unacceptable interference of one state in sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in great difficulties (Blic, RFE)

Director of the Balkan group from Pristina Naim Rashiti says that the process of normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo fell into great difficulties due to problems with the implementation of the agreements reached, but also due to political developments in Kosovo and in Serbia.

"This led to the fact that Prime Ministers of the two countries were not able to continue the dialogue," said Rashiti to Radio Free Europe.

Stefanovic: The last chance to sign bilateral agreement with Pristina (Danas)

"This is the last opportunity, if Kosovo is definitely received into the UNESCO, to sign a written bilateral agreement with Pristina," said Borislav Stefanovic to Danas, the former Serbian negotiator in the technical dialogue with Pristina.

Stefanovic also said that, after the recommendation of the Executive Board of UNESCO, it should be negotiated with Pristina calmly and cool-headed on the regulation of many issues, including the protection of churches and monasteries, property, the position of Serbs in Kosovo.

Stefanovic: Opposition supports government on Kosovo and EU (B92)

Democratic Party (DS) party Vice-President Borislav Stefanovic said that "PM Aleksandar Vucic and the government have the opposition's support on Kosovo."

Beside, Stefanovic stressed that the government "has the support related to European integrations and the Brussels agreement."

The former negotiator in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina said he was "not surprised by the statement of the SANU President, Dr Kostic".

The former chief negotiator in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Borislav Stefanovic, and a member of the Committee for European Integration in the Kosovo parliament Vjosa Osmani confronted attitudes today, in regards to the possible admission of Kosovo in UNESCO.

Stefanovic: Investigation of crimes against Serbs priority (Tanjug)

Serbian Minister of Interior Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic stated that the investigation of all crimes committed against Serbs in Kosovo constitutes one of the priorities, together with the implementation of the Brussels agreement.

Reacting to the Monday debate in the Kosovo parliament concerning the constitutional amendments the adoption of which would make room for constitution of a special court in charge of prosecuting war crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army in Kosovo, Stefanovic said that investigation of all crimes committed against Serbs constitutes a priority.

Minister of Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic said that the Serbian security services are monitoring the situation related to the radical terrorism on a daily basis and are undertaking all measures to prevent spill over of terrorism from the region.  "Anyone who wants to jeopardize Serbia can expected tough response, because we will not allow anyone to experiment with terrorist attacks," said Stefanovic.

Fewer attempted illegal border crossings (B92)

The number of attempted illegal crossings on the Serbian-Hungarian border has dropped, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has said.

He made the statement during a meeting with Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner.

Stefanovic met with Mikl-Leitner late on Wednesday to brief her on the current situation in the field of illegal migrations.

Stricter controls for Serbian passport (Danas)

Serbia will strengthen the control of requests for the Serbian passports, particularly of those people who are trying to reach foreign countries with Serbian passports, learned Danas in the Government of Serbia. As said, Serbia probably will not issue the passport to all Albanians from Kosovo who request it. As explained, the reason for this is that if the Albanians would massively leave the country with the Serbian passports might be compromised visa liberalization of Serbia.
