Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti sends second letter from prison (Gazeta Blic)

The news site reports that Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti, who was arrested by Kosovo Police on Saturday, has sent a second letter from the High-Security Prison. In his letter Kurti argues that the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities is the next and decisive stage of ruining the state of Kosovo. “The Association is a natural result of the Kosovo Government’s approach. What is the value of Kosovo’s independence if it will be followed by a model similar to that of Bosnia? This government must be stopped.

Vetevendosje deputy, Ilir Deda, considers suspension of the opposition, suspension of democracy. He wrote on his Facebook page that such suspension did not occur even in Russia, Venezuela or Belarus. “Today’s act marks the end of the Mustafa-Thaci government. PDK-LDK coalition represents the most anti-democratic regime in Kosovo during these 16 years of freedom. Of course I will not participate at the works of the Assembly without my opposition colleagues. The belated change will happen to Kosovo sooner than we thought,” Deda wrote.

Vetevendosje deputy and Vice-President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Aida Derguti, stated that exclusion of the opposition deputies from today’s session of the Assembly, is in contradiction with the working regulation of the Assembly of Kosovo and the Constitution of Kosovo. She also announced organizing of the protests. “In a country where opposition is not within the parliament, then it cannot be called a parliament,” Deguti said.

Konjufca calls for popular protest to bring down government (Koha)

Glauk Konjufca, head of the Vetevendosje parliamentary group, said today that the government is trying to eliminate the opposition. He called for a popular protest to bring down the government if the opposition is not allowed to attend Assembly sessions. “We will resort to the people. A popular protest to bring down this government,” Konjufca was quoted as saying.

Assembly Chairmanship suspends opposition deputies for the day (media)

Security has blocked the deputies from the Kosovo Assembly opposition parties and it does not allow them to climb to the alternative hall of the Assembly.

Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, informed after the meeting of Assembly Chairmanship that the meeting would resume in thirty minutes, however, leaders and deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), were not allowed to enter the Assembly hall.

The news site reports that the opposition seems to be mobilizing to protect Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti following an announcement by the Kosovo Police that they will arrest Kurti on November 28. Kurti, who is wanted by Kosovo Police in relation to incidents in the Kosovo Assembly, is believed to be staying in Gllogjan, the birthplace of Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

According to the officials of opposition parties, this is happening due to the activities of the opposition.

Ymeri: Mustafa's and Thaci's police terrorizes Pristina (Koha.net)

The leader of Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Ymeri, wrote on his Facebook page about the arrests of Vetevenodsje activists. “Isa Mustafa and Hashim Thaci through Skender Hyseni, are terrorizing Pristina. A day does not pass without arresting Vetevendosje activists,” wrote Ymeri. He added that they use the police to stop and identify people at any place, with or without reason.
