Kurti: We are getting ready for powerful protests (Telegrafi)
Former Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti said in an interview for Radio Dukagjini that they are making all preparations to stage protests against the government of Kosovo. He said that Vetevendosje officials are already organizing gatherings with people in different cities to inform them about what the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities really brings. “We could have organised protests but we want them to be powerful and this is why we are taking more time to prepare future protests,” said Kurti.
Deda: Serbia should admit its faults, then we can reconcile (Gazeta Express)
Vetevendosje deputy, Ilir Deda, stated during the “Building Albanian- Serb ties” conference in Mitrovica that Kosovo and Serbia have hostile relations. “Normalization of the relations does not come by stating that we do not recognize Kosovo, or when Serbs oppose to that extent membership at UNESCO. Only reciprocal recognition can bring normalization between the two countries,” Deda said.
Opposition and civil society: Kosovo is being destroyed (Kosovapress)
Vetevendosje movement considers that the agreement signed by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, gives Serbia full rights to control municipalities with Serb majority, and leads Kosovo towards its federalization. They also consider that this agreement will make Kosovo dysfunctional and a great part of the territory will be managed by Serbian state. Also, according to them, Kosovo will lose many natural resources, which will make its economic development impossible.
