Brnabic: ZSO is not compensation for Kosovo in UN (Tanjug)

Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic rejected allegations that the establishment of the ZSO is a compensation for Kosovo membership in the UN, Tanjug news agency reported.

She reminded ZSO is part of the Brussels agreement and it has to be implemented.

“Agreements must be honoured. There are no further negotiations about ZSO. We will give nothing more, as it is included in the Brussels agreement,” PM Brnabic told Serbian Parliament.

Serbian List (SL) MP in Kosovo Assembly Igor Simic told TV Pink this morning that SL expects the representatives of the international community to react to the latest threats of Pristina regarding the arrests, and pointed out, “it is unacceptable to threaten the legal and legitimate representatives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija”.

“Based on what would they arrest anyone? Because he/she acts in accordance with the laws, with the obligations that Pristina did not want to fulfil?” Simić told TV Pink.

Serbia has received ultimatum on Kosovo - media reports (B92)

Serbia has received an ultimatum - "to recognize Kosovo in exchange for the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO)."

At least that's what the press is reporting this Thursday, Prva TV said.

According to the media, the Serbian president "received such an offer" from diplomats in Berlin, Paris, London, and Washington - while this has been "confirmed to him" these last days during the meetings in New York City.

ZSO also blocks electricity (Vecernje Novosti)

Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti writes that the implementation of energy agreement is blocked because there is no Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO).

Establishment of the ZSO, energy and opening of the bridge in Mitrovica for the traffic, are the topics discussed by technical teams of Belgrade and Pristina on Monday in Brussels at the beginning of a three-day round of dialogue at the expert level.

Janjic: A preparation for a new format of talks (Danas)

The new meeting of Serbian and Kosovo President Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci, with the EU mediation, to be held in Brussels on Friday, a preparation for a new phase of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, writes the Belgrade daily Danas.

President of the Forum for Ethnic Relations Dusan Janjic told Danas that the meeting will be at the highest political level, which will start in May, adding that yesterday's negotiations at the technical level are also an overture for that meeting.

The EU expects full implementation of all Belgrade-Pristina dialogue agreements, including the one to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).

This has been stated by European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic on the eve of a new round of technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina delegations, which begins later in the afternoon in Brussels and will last until Wednesday.

Joksimovic: ZSO a key to progress (RTS)

Director of the Center for Foreign Policy Aleksandra Joksimovic told Radio Television Serbia (RTS) that intensifying talks between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as the influence of international factors, could lead to positive moves that would result with the agreement.

She says that one should expect to appear drafts from various sources related to the Belgrade-Pristina agreement, regardless of the fact that it has no content still.

Drecun: There is no need for the region to be on the line of fire between the US and Russia (RTS)

Chairman of the Committee for KiM Milovan Drecun told RTS that senior US official Wess Mitchell has come to send a message that the Kosovo issue will be treated in the context of their geopolitical confrontation with Russia and that they will continue to have a one-sided approach to the Kosovo problem.

Milovan Drecun says that it is clear that there is no "American package for Kosovo" about which the media speculates.

"UN chair for Kosovo lurks behind US package" (B92, Vecernje Novosti, Blic)

The US "package" for Kosovo will put Serbia and President Aleksandar Vucic in "a very delicate position."

That's according to Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti, which adds that "the package" could be presented to Serbian officials on Wednesday, when US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell will visit Pristina, and then Belgrade.

Kocijancic: Without delay to apply ZSO, soon a new round of dialogue in Brussels (Blic)

European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic told today that the agreement on the establishment of the Community/Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) must be applied without delay and she announced a new round of technical dialogue from March 19 to 21, reports Belgrade based daily Blic.
