RTK2 reports that several persons reported that they were prevented from crossing the Merdare crossing with a passport issued by Serbian Police Departments.

According to the people who wished to remain anonymous, at the crossing, police officers told them "that it is not possible to pass with a passport issued by the Police Departments of the cities in Serbia, but that valid and recognised is ID card i.e. a valid birth certificate with a photo for children".

Serbian state broadcaster RTS reports that Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric told reporters during a visit to the Belgrade City Museum that Pristina's decision is the last wedge in the coffin of the idea of dialogue, a terrible slap to the international community, a blow to the foundation of freedom of movement and all European principles.

Responsible bodies in Pristina, allowed inhabitants in Kosovo to obtain driving licences without passing the test again, in case they possess Serbian driving licences issued until 2016, Kosovo Deputy Minister of Interior, Milan Radojevic told RTS.

Radojevic also termed the decision as very important for Serbs in Kosovo, as their freedom of movement is directly linked with personal documents they have.

Since the middle of last week, when a new wave of mass departure of Albanians was registered, the Kosovo authorities suspended the departure of buses from Pristina to Belgrade, and banned bus operators from crossing administrative line Merdare. Passengers now cross administrative checkpoints by foot, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

If a bus leaves Dragaš, Prizren, or Gračanica to Belgrade, they have to stop in front of the Merdare crossing.

Deputy Kosovo Interior Minister Milan Radojević says that Kosovo border police, at some crossings, do not recognize Serbian documents.

Radojević told Kontakt plus radio that dozens of citizens with these documents, late last and early this month, submitted a complaint to the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs because they were refused entry to or exit from Kosovo towards central Serbia but also FYROM.

Although the agreement on the judiciary in northern Kosovo was reached in 2013, there is no implementation yet. Lawyer Dejan Vasić considers that the agreement has lost all meaning although it had "historic significance" for the negotiators, stressing that a lot of time passed since the adoption and almost nothing has been done. Edita Tahiri, Kosovo’s Minister without portfolio engaged in the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels, told Radio Free Europe today that due to the administrative delays, Kosovo authorities did not manage to start with the implementation of the agreement for full reciprocity on the license plates between Kosovo and Serbia and remove the so-called “proba” license plates which were implemented unilaterally by the Serbian party since 2011. According to her, today is the due date for implementation of the agreement. “It did not start yet.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said today that Serbia will do everything it takes in connection to waves of immigrants from Kosovo, when he receives from Brussels a clear position on this issue - to stop freedom of movement or not.

That was also discussed during a visit to Brussels, he said.

- I told them: You told us to let them go, we let them go, and you're saying now do not let them. We have no problem, we'll do what you want, just tell us what you want - the prime minister said.
