Bilall Sherifi, senior member of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) said today that his party will support the protests announced by two other opposition parties, the Vetevendosje Movement and Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK).  “We will participate in the protests against the bad governance and the damaging agreements reached with Serbia. We will contribute in organizing these protests,” Sherifi said, adding that the protests would be peaceful if the government doesn’t provoke with any actions.

The news site reports that the opposition parties, with the initiative of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) are planning to block the work of the Kosovo Assembly in the session when they are expected to vote for the constitutional amendments that enable the establishment of the special court. "The goal is that the opposition MPs to physically block the entrance of the hall where the session is expected to take place, and not allow the MPs to enter the session,” said a senior official of one of the opposition parties who preferred to remain anonymous.

The representatives of the three opposition parties, Vetevendosje, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), have requested early parliamentary elections. The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosvo, Ramush Haradinaj, head of the NISMA’s parliamentary group Valdete Bajrami and Vetevendosje activist, Frasher Krasniqi, assessed that the only solution to save Kosovo from the current coalition between the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), is holding of early elections.

Former Assembly Speaker and current head of the National Council at the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) political party, Jakup Krasniqi, stated that witnesses can be protected also in Kosovo and that this is not an essential reason to establish a special court. His statement came as a response to the announcement of the Human Rights Watch Executive Director Kenneth Roth that the special court has to establish being that witnesses are not protected in Kosovo.

Former Kosovo Assembly Speaker and current head of national council of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), Jakup Krasniqi, reacted against the statements of Belgrade senior officials who claimed that Belgrade will not give up Gazivoda Lake. He wrote on his Facebook profile that “according to Serbian media, Vucic told Isa Mustafa in front of the EU officials that “there is no chance to accept your requests.

Supporters of Kosovo’s three main opposition parties marched through Pristina on Saturday in a largely peaceful protest of the policies of the government of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

Several thousand people gathered in Pristina on Saturday at an anti-government protest organised by three main Kosovo opposition parties - Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK, and the Initiative for Kosovo, NISMA.

Dozens of activists of the three opposition parties, the Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo and Initiative for Kosovo, on Friday developed an action in front of the government building, placing a picture of Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci holding a hammer with a picture of Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci. The activists said that as long as Kuci remains Justice Minister, there will be no law and order in Kosovo.
