Association of relatives of missing persons from Kosovo and Metohija request meeting with Vucic (KoSSev)

Association of families of kidnapped and killed persons in Kosovo and Metohija today requested to meet with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, before his departure to Brussels on 9 February, where he will take part in continued dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Stojanovic: Violence prove irresponsibility of the opposition (KoSSev)

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Branimir Stojanovic, said to KoSSev that yesterday’s violence on the streets of Pristina is a proof of irresponsibility of the Kosovo opposition which misuses the issue of Trepca and the Serbian Minister in the Kosovo government, Aleksandar Jablanovic, as an excuse for trying to overthrow the government.

Trajkovic: Demonstrations are based on Serbophobia (Kossev)

The demonstrations which were held recently in Pristina (the most massive since the arrival of the international community in Kosovo and Metohija) were based on the platform of Serbophobia: 1) the criticism of the Serbian minister in the Kosovo government and 2) the resistance to the Belgrade’s efforts to resolve the issue of Trepca. The right to protest is the basis of any democratic society. However, according to the old Balkan tradition, in the case of Saturday’s demonstrations, the same right was misused to the level of absurdity.

UÇK graffiti insulting displaced Serbs from Đakovica (KIM Radio, KoSSev)

Association of displaced Serbs from Đakovica/Gjakovë requested on Saturday that insulting graffiti “UÇK”, that appeared on the wall of the Virgin Merry Monastery in that town a week ago, is removed.

In a communiqué the Association said that such graffiti is disturbing for four old ladies who have remained to live in Đakovica. “We consider this as an insult and humiliation of all pilgrims from Đakovica who were stoned on the Christmas Day”.

A former member of the Serbian Interior Ministry arrested (KoSSev)

A former member of the Serbian Interior Ministry Milivoje Petrovic was arrested this morning at the border crossing Bela zemlja, on the road Gnjilane/Gjilan - Bujanovac.

Petrovic was taken to the police station in Gnjilane/Gjilan, where he was immediately determined 24-hour detention, told Kosovo Police to the Srna agency.

The arrest was carried out by order of the prosecutor. It is still unknown why Petrovic was arrested this morning.

Serbs from northern Kosovo should create chamber of commerce and development bank (KoSSev)

Citizens in northern Kosovo should engage actively in monitoring the implementation of the Brussels Agreement on the field, and manage and monitor Fond for the North, said analyst Dusan Janjic at a debate about collection of customs revenues provided by the Brussels Agreement and its so far implementation on the field.

Ristic is suspected of a total of 15 offenses (KoSSev)

Slavisa Ristic, former Mayor of Zubin Potok, after five hours of questioning in the building of the Municipal Court in North Mitrovica, is in his house, where he will remain, confirmed to KoSSev, Ristic’s lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic. Ristic is suspected of a total of 15 offenses - mostly from 2011, which are grouped in two court cases, which is why today's hearing attended two judges.
