Minister Çollaku meets EU ambassadors to Kosovo (KosovaPress)

On his first day of work, the newly appointed Minister of European Integration, Bekim Çollaku met with EU ambassadors to Kosovo, KosovaPress reports.

During the meeting, Minister Çollaku stressed the importance of signing of Stabilization and Association Agreement between Kosovo and the European Union. Çollaku also emphasized the Government's commitment to address key reforms within the integration process, with particular emphasis on the rule of law, economic development and public administration reform.

"No new German conditions" (Danas, B92)

BELGRADE -- Germany has not set any new condition before Serbia on its path towards gaining membership in the EU, a Belgrade-based daily writes.

The Danas newspaper said it learned unofficially "from diplomatic circles in Berlin" that "points which are necessary for the continuation of Serbia's EU integration are already familiar and set by the European Commission, not the Germans."

Thaci meets Lunacek (Koha)

Hashim Thaci, Principal Deputy to the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo, hosted today Urlike Lunacek, the Deputy President of the  European Parliament and Deputy Head of the Delegation for Bosnia and Herzegovina and  Kosovo. They discussed Kosovo’s European perspective.

“We confirmed once again at this meeting our determination for the European perspective of our country and our unstoppable engagement on this journey,” said Thaci.

Berlin sent 11 new conditions (Vecernje Novosti)

The Brussels conditions for opening the chapter 35 relating to the normalization of relations with Kosovo, based on which should begin negotiations with the EU, are almost "impossible" for Serbia, because many of them go deep into the status of Kosovo. Serbian Minister without portfolio in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic stated on Saturday that Germany is not conditioning Serbia and that is just has a different approach to the Serbia-EU talks, and expressed the hope that a good solution would soon be found and that the first chapter in the talks would open soon.

The return of displaced persons to Kosovo as a main theme was discussed at the first regional conference in Skopje, organized by the International Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). A large number of senior officials from Belgrade, Pristina, Podgorica and Skopje attended the conference.

Press release of the Ministry for Return announced that the OSCE representatives, who organized the meeting, have said that the aim of the conference is finding lasting solutions for the sensitive issues of return.
