RTK in Serbian language in an article published yesterday pointed out investments in the four northern municipalities are made from three separate budgets: Government of Kosovo, Government of Serbia, and the Development Fund for the North, while there are different organizations and EU countries, that are also investing there.
However, residents of Mitrovica North say the investments are not felt on the ground. They think that money is not distributed fairly, and it is being invested in wrong projects which are not beneficial for the citizens.

“The European Union made it clear: Serbia can join the EU only after it settles the issues it has with Kosovo. We are very sceptical regarding any changes of borders based on ethnicity,” he said, adding that German Chancellor Angela Merkel has recently expressed this position several times.

EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini said today, after separate meetings with Serbian and Kosovo presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci, that there are still difficulties, while the next high-level meeting would be scheduled prior to the Ministerial week of the UN General Assembly in New York, Tanjug news agency reported.
Mogherini added she is convinced in the full commitment of the both presidents to continue negotiation process and reach in the forthcoming months legally binding agreement on comprehensive normalization of relations in line with international law.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has decided not to talk to representatives of Pristina in Brussels today, Tanjug is reporting.
Reporters learned this is Brussels from the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, who spoke after Vucic's meeting with EU's Federica Mogherini, who acts as the mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina talks.
Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic said she expects the EU to react to threats against President Aleksandar Vucic made before his announced visit to Kosovo, Serbian media reported.
Gojkovic added, she hopes the EU would not urge the both sides to ease tensions, because Belgrade threatened no one this time.
