Kostić, Bondi and Sparks on the priorities of the Municipality of Gračanica/Graqanicë (Radio Gračanica)

Kostić notes, in the meeting with Desk Officers in Washington in charge of Kosovo and Serbia, Kate Bondi and Tyler Sparks that the most important issues for the municipality are the economic links, tourism, culture and that it requires encouragement. In order to raise these important issues to a higher level, Kostić says that infrastructure needs to be improved.

The Serb representatives in the Kosovo government have informed the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the reasons for freezing their participation in the government, inter-ministerial committees and other government bodies, and today's submission of the request to the constitutional court in Pristina for the assessment of the constitutionality of the law of Trepča.

There was no attempt of kidnapping; the girl was attacked (KIM radio)

A 17 years old minor reported yesterday the attack - and not an attempted kidnapping reported by some media - to the police station in Gracanica, told Bratislav Trajkovic, Commander of the police station in Gracanica to RTV KIM .

As confirmed, the girl before the prosecutor made a statement, saying that there was an attack and the case was recorded as such.

Austrian parliamentarians' Gracanica visit (KIM Radio)

Mayor of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic presented the municipality’s development plans to Austrian parliamentarians, led by the Austrian Ambassador in Pristina/Prishtine, Gernot Pfandler.

Mayor Kostic informed the Austrian delegation about the main characteristics, current situation and development opportunities of the municipality of Gracanica.

Kostic against membership of Kosovo in UNESCO (RTS)

President of the Citizens' Initiative Srpska and Mayor of Gracanica Vladeta Kostic believes that there are more important issues than membership of Kosovo in the UNESCO. “"We should think first about economic development rather than on issues that are not much in the interest of the citizens of Kosovo," said Kostic for TV Rokum in Pristina. He says that even if Kosovo join the UNESCO, not even one Serb or Albanian would get the job.

Kostic: Intrusion in the Gracanica premises is unacceptable (KIM radio)

Gracanica municipality and its mayor Vladeta Kostic condemned the intrusion in the facilities of the organization that is operating in Gracanica.

Recall, the representatives of the Central Bank of Kosovo, accompanied by members of the special police ROSU, intruded into office of Jugobanka AD in Gracanica and took part of the documentation and equipment. One bank clerk has been taken for questioning. Kostic points out that in these buildings, "do not work criminals but people who in these difficult times are trying to survive in Kosovo."

Initiative for Community/Association of Serbian municipalities raised to a higher level (KiM radio, TV Most, Vecernje Novosti, Blic)

Gracanica Mayor, Vladeta Kostic said that the recent first joint meeting of municipalities with Serbian majority practically raised the issue of establishing the Association/Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) and that the initiative is now raised to a higher political level.

Kostic said that in formal legal terms, the process of creating the ZSO has not started yet, because the legal requirements are not met, nor the statute of the Community was adopted.
