Veseli at the Convention of Clinton’s nomination for President (Koha Ditore)

The President of the Assembly of Kosovo and leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Kadri Veseli, traveled to Philadelphia, the United States of America. “With the invitation of the Democratic Party, President Veseli will be present at the Congress of the U.S. Democratic Party, where Mrs. Hillary Clinton will be officially nominated as candidate for the President of the United States,” informed a press release. During his several-day stay in the U.S., Veseli is expected to meet U.S. senior officials and other personalities from the world.

Vetevendosje MP: Announcement of the US official on demarcation, misunderstood (Indeksonline)

The biggest opposition political party of Kosovo, Vetevendosje, assessed the visit of the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department, Victoria Nuland as positive. Kosovo Assembly MP from this party, Shqipe Pantina, told Indeksonline that Nuland did not request from the MPs to vote the agreement on demarcation of the border with Montenegro, signed by Thaçi. She also does not consider the fact that Nuland did not meet opposition parties as problematic.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa informed on Thursday during the meeting of the government that the U.S. Secretary of state gave full support to the work of the government. Mustafa said he feels happy for the support that the U.S. is giving to Kosovo. He informed that he discussed with Secretary Kerry the current issues in Kosovo, Euro-Atlantic integration orientation, the work of the government, stability and peace of the region and the issues which currently concern Kosovo.

Kerry to stop only at “Adem Jashari” Airport? (Koha)

The United States Secretary of State, John Kerry, will visit tomorrow Kosovo. According to an agenda ensured by Kosovo Police, he is so far foreseen to meet only the Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa and Deputy Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.

This agenda does not foresee the place of the meeting, however, there are rumors that Kerry will only stop at Pristina Airport.

The U.S. Department of State: SAA will bring benefits to Kosovo (Klan Kosova)

The U.S. State Department has issued a press release which notes that signing of the Stabilization Association Agreement (SAA), between the European Union and Kosovo marked a major milestone on Kosovo’s path toward Euro-Atlantic integration. “We welcome this strong sign of Europe’s continued commitment to Kosovo and congratulate the leadership and people of Kosovo for their hard work in achieving this goal. The SAA will bring tangible benefits to all in Kosovo, and we look forward to its rapid approval by the Kosovo Assembly,” notes the press release.

Opposition ignores the Quint Ambassadors (Zeri)

Kosovo opposition will not revoke its decision to block the Assembly, despite the continuous criticism of the representatives of the Quint states. Furthermore, representatives of the opposition claim that the internationals’ request to unblock the Assembly is reasonable, however, they stressed that this will entirely depend if the governing coalition decides to withdraw the recent agreements on Association and on demarcation.

Delawie: Recent developments at the Assembly, an obstacle to progress (Klan Kosova)

The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, stated that the recent developments at the Assembly represent an obstacle to the progress of Kosovo. According to him, corruption continues to be the biggest obstacle to the economic growth. He made these comments during the meeting of the High Level Forum, where the national strategy for economic development was presented. Delawie said that the U.S. will continue to support Kosovo, and especially the youth, who according to him, are Kosovo’s biggest asset. He said that the U.S.
