Dacic: I don’t expect anything good from Thaci’s election (Danas)

After the possible election of Hashim Thaci for president of Kosovo, I don’t expect anything good to happen regarding relations between Serbia and Kosovo, said Ivica Dacic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. When asked why, Dacic explained that the political chaos in Kosovo is an excuse for not fulfilling the obligations undertaken by signing the Brussels agreement. “And it will continue,” said Dacic, adding that the EU should put pressure on Pristina to fulfill its obligations.

Office for KiM Director meets with Ambassador of Cyprus (Dailies)

Director the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric met with newly appointed Ambassador of Cyprus to Serbia Constantinos Eliades on Thursday.

Djuric thanked Eliades for the Cyprus government's consistent support for the policy on Kosovo-Metohija pursued by Serbia, expressing the hope that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries would continue to improve, the Office for KiM said in a release.

Tahiri: Statute of the A/CSM to be drafted by Pristina (RTK2)

The sooner Serbia disbands its parallel structures in Kosovo, the sooner the statute will be drafted for the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities, stated Kosovo government Minister without portfolio, in charge of dialogue, Edita Tahiri in her interview with RTK2, and added that the statute will be drafted by Kosovo institutions.

On principles that must be laid out (Koha Ditore)

Lumir Abdixhiku, executive director of the Pristina-based research institute RIINVEST, writes in an opinion piece that dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade must happen but that "the process should respect some general principles that Kosovars need to lay out”. The first and most important principle, according to Abdixhiku, should be national unity. “National unity is important especially if we are obliged to address Kosovo’s internal arrangements – always in compliance with the Constitution.

Brussels talks: Association / Community of Serb Municipalities process unlocked (RTS)

With the meeting in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade delegations, the issue of forming the Association/Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM) has returned to high level political dialogue.  Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic insisted that the statute of A/CSM should be finalized as soon as possible because it represents a means of protecting the interests of Serbs in Kosovo.

Blerim Shala, member of the Kosovo Assembly and coordinator of Kosovo’s delegation in talks with Belgrade, writes in his opinion piece that in parliamentarian democracies there are no alternatives to political dialogue. Shala recalls that in light of major problems in the political landscape in Kosovo, both the government and the opposition have called on one another to reflect.
