Janjic: Meeting in Washington ‘break the ice’ in the relations (Blic)

Political analyst Dusan Janjic said that “the ice was broken”, referring to the low profile of relations that existed between Washington and Serbia since 2010. He said that the visit of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to the United States is very important and presents building confidence in the policy led by the Serbian Prime Minister.

Kosovo laws should be harmonized with Brussels agreement (Blic)

Harmonization of the legal framework in Kosovo with the Brussels agreement remains the main prerequisite for establishment of the community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), Ljubomir Maric, the coordinator of the steering team for the ZSO establishment and Kosovo Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government, said late Tuesday.

After a meeting with officials of the European External Action Service, Maric pointed out that he has filed a report at the invitation of the EU on what has been done in terms of ZSO since the steering team was formed in 2013.

Serbian list: The Kosovo government does not understand the obligations of the Brussels Treaty (Blic)

Serbian list announced tonight that the messages from Pristina, that speak of reluctance to launch serious negotiations on the establishment of the Association/Community of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO), speak that the Kosovo government does not understand the obligations undertaken in the Brussels Treaty.

Serbian List, in the press release, further states that the unwillingness of the Kosovo Government to seriously negotiate about the ZSO indicates the contempt of the coalition agreement that the ruling parties in Kosovo had with the Serbian List.

An agreement will be reached about a platform for Kosovo (TV Pink, Blic, TV Most)

Advisor to the President of the Serbia, Stanislava Pak said today that agreement will be reached on a platform of the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Kosovo, and that the limit below which the president is not going to go is the recognition of Kosovo.

Pak said that and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has positively assessed the platform and he has confidence in Nikolic, who has written a platform primarily because at some point agreement on normalization expects Serbia and "Serbia strategically is planning the approach to the event which awaits us".

Jablanovic with Zbogar on Special Court (Blic)

On Thursday, Jablanovic conferred with EU Special Representative Samuel Zbogar in Pristina about several current issues, with special emphasis on the forthcoming adoption of the Law on the Special Court for KLA crimes.

The meeting served to exchange ideas how to resolve some important issues in Kosovo, with special focus on Serbian perception of the Law which should soon be put before the parliament, said Jablanovic.

If Nikolic is serious , no Serbia in the EU (Blic)

If a platform of the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic becomes a document over which Belgrade would like to negotiate with Pristina and the EU, Serbia would find itself in a serious trouble.

This was said unofficially to Blic by sources from the European Commission in Brussels, who also stressed that EC did not receive Nikolic’s platform, thus they can only comment it based on media reports.

USA: Western Balkans is source of jihadists (Blic)

USA Under Secretary of State Sarah Sewall urged the countries in the Balkan region to promote cooperation in preventing recruitment of Islamist fighters.

During a two-day conference of experts for security in the Western Balkans and representatives of some EU member states in Tirana, Sewall said that according to the study funded by the US, 700 people, mostly from Bosnia and Kosovo, joined the rebels in Syria and Iraq.
