Dynamic cooperation of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and OSCE (RTS, Tanjug, KIM radio)

Deputy Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Dusan Kozarev and Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo Paivi Nikander discussed on Thursday about the current security situation in Kosovo, particularly when it comes to the security of Serbs and other non-Albanians in the province.

Djuric: Vucic to visit Kosovo in next 20 days (RTS, Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will visit Kosovo in the next 20 days, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric announced during the weekend.

Vucic will visit the Serb communities both north and south of the River Ibar and speak with Serb representatives to see "what, and how, is being done and how people live," Djuric told the RTS.

Office for KiM Director meets with Ambassador of Cyprus (Dailies)

Director the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric met with newly appointed Ambassador of Cyprus to Serbia Constantinos Eliades on Thursday.

Djuric thanked Eliades for the Cyprus government's consistent support for the policy on Kosovo-Metohija pursued by Serbia, expressing the hope that the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries would continue to improve, the Office for KiM said in a release.

Citizens protest in support of Oliver Ivanovic (Dailies)

Citizens have gathered in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica on Friday, in support of leader of the Citizens' Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic, sentenced to nine years in prison on war crimes charges.

Protesters are carrying Serbian flags and banners reading “Freedom for Ivanovic”. Serbs from all parts of Kosovo have come to the protest, including the displaced ones.

"If Schengen collapses, repercussions for W. Balkans" (B92, Tanjug, Nezavisne Novosti)

Western Balkan countries would be worst hit by the collapse of Schengen, Slovakia's Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has warned.

Lajcak also believes the conditions have not been met for Bosnia-Herzegovina to become a candidate country for EU membership in February.

He has also called on the authorities in the Republika Srpska (RS) "to stop threatening with a referendum."

Drecun: Serb municipalities, most important topic of dialogue (Dailies)

Establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities will be the most significant topic of the upcoming Belgrade-Pristina dialogue because no progress can be expected in the process until that issue is resolved, Milovan Drecun, who chairs the Serbian parliamentary committee on Kosovo-Metohija, said on Monday.

Pristina must be stopped from sabotaging the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, Drecun told reporters in parliament.

Church of St. Demetrius in Susica ransacked (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio, Tanjug)

Unknown perpetrators ransacked the Church of St. Demetrius on Monday, in the village of Susica near Pristina.

A member of the church council noticed that a window of the church had been broken and that the box with donations was stolen.

The Eparchy of Raska and Prizren reported the incident to the police.

Protesters urinate inside Serbian church (Akter, KIM radio, RTK2, B92, Tanjug)

Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic condemned on Sunday in the strongest terms the desecration of the Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Pristina.

The Serbian Orthodox church was desecrated by a group of protesters during Saturday's opposition riots in Pristina.

Stojanovic said the behaviour was shameful and uncivilized and that it was unacceptable that police watched the protesters who have entered the church, and did nothing.

Why new borders are being drawn within Serbia if Europe is uniting by erasing borders between states, Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Irinej has asked.

"I am not dealing with politics when I'm saying this but, as the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, I am contemplating further consequences of a fragmented Serbia living in a 'united' Europe. This is too serious issue to be dealt by politicians with a limited duration," the Patriarch told Vecernje Novosti daily.
