UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged Kosovo authorities and the EU to ensure that a special court will be formed no later than early next year, which would deal with the issue of war crimes allegedly committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in Kosovo in 1999.

As with many other issues in relation with the EU and America, the key is that government in Belgrade is determined to persist under heavy pressures from Brussels and Washington, in implementing its policy.

In the period between 1980s and 1990s, with the aim to stop the migration and keep the remaining Serbian people in these areas, Serbia built about twenty factories in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, mostly in the municipalities of Leposavic and Zubin Potok. Former conglomerates Lola, Javor, Simpo, Petoletka, VIK Vrsac, Kristal and Gradac also built their factories there.  Today, most of these factories are not working because the boundary and  Customs at Jarinje and Brnjak crossings prevent the purchase of raw materials and export of final products.

As a part of the Ahtisaari plan, two years ago was opened an Administrative office for North Mitrovica, which since then provided municipal services to the citizens of North Mitrovica. After four attempts, at the local elections was elected the Mayor, and shortly thereafter formed the Municipal Assembly. “Administrative Office of Northern Mitrovica was established with the aim to be the basis for forming municipality North Mitrovica.

Why Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic during a lengthy speech on the occasion of the first 100 days of the government, (for which, as "the best location" was selected successful farm of the family Mužlai in Backo Gradište) did not mention the government's activities in Kosovo and Metohija? Representatives of the ruling coalition believe that the reason for that is political crisis in Pristina, which occurred after the early parliamentary elections, because it hampers the implementation of the Brussels Agreement.

In the middle of the week, head of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric was in Pristina, where he met with Serbian liaison officer Dejan Pavicevic, walked around the town, had lunch in the centre, visited the local church Sv.

“It is required to create the political basis for the establishment of Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) by adopting the statute, which is only possible through political agreements and negotiations with the political force that will be the backbone of the future government in Pristina. I expect that participation of now legitimately elected representatives of the Serbian people in provincial institutions will contribute to direct talks between us and Kosovo Albanians about the things that were already discussed in Brussels.

President of the Serbian National Council of Northern Kosovo Milan Ivanovic said that senior officials of Serbia and the international community have confirmed to him that there are lists of arrests of Serbs in Kosovo. "Lists that exist in Kosovo and Metohija for the arrest of Serbs are in the function of the ethnic cleansing Kosovo and Metohija of the remaining Serbs in the north and the creation of a Greater Albania," said Ivanovic to TV Most in Zvecane/Zveqan. Ivanovic said that senior international officials said, and officials in Belgrade have confirmed that there is a list of 18 Serbs,

Serbs in northern Kosovo will not allow the Kosovo Privatization Agency (KPA) to sell the property of 11 Serbian companies north of the Ibar River. After trying to sell for the cheap price the Castings factory from Lesak, the workers said that the companies were built by Serbia, in order to stop the migration of Serbian population, so the fate of the companies should be decided by local governments.

Minister for Communities and Return in Kosovo Government Dalibor Jevtic said that in the period from January till June 2014 returned 108 returnees. In next twenty days, the houses for 177 IDPs will be finished and as soon they return the total number will be 285 returnees. He cited several obstacles for a large-scale return of displaced persons, noting that institutional cooperation between Belgrade and Pristina is required. “The real obstacle is the issue of usurped property and the lack of solving these cases within the judicial bodies and institutions dealing with the judiciary.
