OSCE: Forum on sustainable solutions for displaced from Kosovo (RTK2)

OSCE Mission in Kosovo, together with UNHCR, will organize on 21 September in Budva Technical Meeting and Forum on the highest level about sustainable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo.

The working group for technical issues will finalize proposals on 21 September related to priority areas such as property issues, civil documentation, data management and cooperation.

Rakic: No Serbs in southern Mitrovica (Kontakt plus, RTK2, Tanjug)

Northern Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakic denied the allegations about ethnic cleansing in this part of the city, and underscored that ethnic cleansing has been completed a long time ago in southern Mitrovica, where not a single Serb now lives.

Northern Mitrovica is the only truly multi-ethnic environment in Kosovo, Rakic said to Radio Kontakt Plus and called on Southern Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri to refrain from making flammable statements that can destabilise the situation in the area.

Threatening graffiti against Bosniaks in Prizren (RTK2)

Threatening graffiti reading ‘Death to Torbeshi’ and ‘Torbeshi plus Gorani are Shkije’ (Shkije is insulting name for Serbs), were sprayed on Monday on the house of a Bosniak family in Prizren.

Bosniak politicians did not react on this threats yet, whereas Bosniaks who are commenting the threats on social networks say that this reminds them on the period after conflict, 16 years ago, when 105 Bosniaks were killed or are still missing in Kosovo.

Aid delivered to returnee farmers in Kosovo (RTK2)

Deputy Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dusan Kozarev presented on Wednesday in Gracanica, contracts for 50 aid packages to returnee farmers in the municipalities of Pec/Peja, Istok/Istog, Klina/Klline, Urosevac/Ferizaj and Gora.

The aid packages in the form of agricultural machinery, provided by the Office for KiM though public procurement totalling around RSD 10 million, is a co-funded project under IPA 2012, a broader project worth EUR 2.4 million.

Poor rule of law in Kosovo (RTK2)

Numerous complains addressed to the Kosovo Ombudsman are prove that rule of law in Kosovo is at the low level, said participants in a debate that took place in Media Center in Čaglavica.

Kosovo Ombudsman report reads that his office has received 2.224 complaints or requests for legal aid, what is assessed by some participants as the prove for the poor rule of law in Kosovo.
