Kerry sends letter to Nikolic on behalf of Obama (RTS)

United States Secretary of State John Kerry sent a letter on behalf of U.S. President Barack Obama to the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, saying that the U.S.-Serbia relations are growing stronger and following an upward trend. The U.S. agrees with President Nikolic's assessment that the role of Serbia, both regionally and globally, has changed significantly over the past years. The letter underlines the Serbian Chairmanship of the OSCE, and welcomes Serbia's determination to adhere to the Helsinki Principles during the Ukrainian crisis.

Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić objected today to announced creation of army of Kosovo and downsizing of KFOR, and pointed that it would not serve the peace and stability, and protection of Serbs in the province.
