Opposition warns: If demarcation returns, we will stop it again (Lajmi)

The news website reports that according to Kosovo government officials, the agreement on the border demarcation with Montenegro will be sent back to Parliament next month. Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said recently that the opposition and the Serbian List are responsible for blocking the border demarcation with Montenegro and visa liberalisation for Kosovo.

The news website notes that opposition parties in Kosovo and political analysts have continuously criticised the position of the Serbian List vis-à-vis the state and institutions of Kosovo, some even arguing that parties that don’t recognise Kosovo’s independence should not be part of the central government.

Sherifi: Ratification of demarcation agreement can cause security crisis in Kosovo (Indeksonline)

The Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) senior member, Bilall Sherifi, said on Monday the government must declare the agreement on border-demarcation with Montenegro as null and void, in order to pave the way for a new process and new agreement. He also said the ratification of this agreement will cause security crisis in Kosovo. “The ratification of this agreement would deepen the political crisis and would send Kosovo into security crisis,” Sherifi said. According to him, there is no reason to link visa liberalisation with border-demarcation issue.
