Although the establishment of the Chamber Investment Forum has shown itself to be a great move that's yielding tangible results in terms of increases level of trade and business cooperation, support from the governments of the region remains insufficient. We see one possible solution to this in the establishment of ministries for regional cooperation within each government, just as Nordic countries have regional cooperation ministers

The Fair Pristina 2018 organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo, starts today and will last until 21 April.

President of the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo Safet Gerxhaliu told RTV KIM yesterday that "Pristina will be the capital of the Balkans, since more than 180 companies from all over the region are gathering in this city".

Good cooperation between the chambers of commerce of Serbia and Kosovo is an exception in the relations between Belgrade and Pristina, says the president of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce Safet Gerxhaliu, KiM radio reports.

Daily Blis reports that Steering Committee of the International Organisation of Employers at the meeting, before the Assembly that marks the start of the 106th Conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO), has rejected request of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (KCC) for membership in the World employers' organization that operates within the United Nations, announced today Employers Union of Serbia (UPS).

Kosovo President Hasim Taci supports the dialogue between the chambers of commerce of Serbia and Kosovo to enable better use of potentials for economic cooperation in the territory, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Marko Cadez said Friday after officials of the two institutions met with Taci in Pristina.

Cadez said he and Kosovo Chamber of Commerce President Safet Grdzaliju had for two years been trying to establish more concrete cooperation between the two business communities.

In a press conference, officials from the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce warned that if the political crisis persists in 2016, it stands to cause irreparable damage to Kosovo’s economic interests. Kosovo doesn’t have the luxury to risk implementation of the recently-signed Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with Europe, said officials adding that a political consensus is necessary to overcome the crisis.
