Hrkalovic: Admission of Kosovo in Interpol would be precedent (Danas, FoNet)

Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs State Secretary Dijana Hrkalovic underlined during the meetings with Spanish, Indonesian and Indian ambassadors that eventual decision to admit Kosovo in Interpol “would constitute a precedent and politicization of this police international organization,” FoNet news agency reported. Ambassador of Indonesia, Harry Kandou noted that his country respects and supports the integrity and sovereignty of states in line with the UN Charter and international law.

Srpska Lista representatives said during the meeting with US official Mathew Palmer that peace and stability are the most important and all open issues should be resolved in compromise. On the other side, Palmer noted it is important that Serbs take part in all the processes important for Kosovo, RTS reports. Srpska Lista Chair Goran Rakic and deputy chairs, Dalibor Jevtic and Igor Simic said Srpska Lista extends full support to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to resolve the Kosovo issue in compromise, since this is the only way to enable better position of Serbs in Kosovo.

Dacic: How long Albanians would be tolerated to avoid obligations (RTS)

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, speaking for RTS “Upitnik” show said that Pristina constantly seeks an alibi to avoid implementation of signed agreements. Dacic added Kosovo does not want to join Interpol because of the fight against the crime, but to show and prove itself as a state. Dacic also underlined as long as the UN SC Resolution 1244 remains in force, there is no army of Kosovo. Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs state secretaries, Dijana Hrkalovic and Biljana Popovic-Ivic, in separate meetings, presented Serbian arguments against membership of the so-called Kosovo in Interpol, to the diplomatic representatives of several countries, RTS reports. Hrkalovic met with Cuban Ambassador in Serbia, Gustavo Trista del Todo and Argentinian Charge de Affairs, Juan B. Scartascini del Rio. She underlined that eventual decision to admit so-called Kosovo in Interpol, would constitute flagrant violation of the international law, primarily UN SC Resolution 1244.
