Despite his standpoint against EU expansion, French President Emmanuel Macron comes to Belgrade with a message that France supports Serbia's EU integration.

This is according to Belgrade-based newspaper Blic that further said President Macron will pass on to the President of Serbia that France supports Serbia in resolving an open conflict with Kosovo Albanians. In this context, daily states that Macron's relations towards Pristina's representatives had changed, stressing that this change of course of French President in favor of Serbia is novelty.

Kosovo and Albania have only made problems for themselves by not coming to the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit in Sarajevo and have struck a heavy blow to regional cooperation, Bosnian Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak said on Monday, adding that he has no idea what prompted Pristina not to come to the Summit, TV N1 reports.

Serbian Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali said the Kosovo Tax Administration was not admitted to Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), RTS reports.

Mali noted “it is an excellent news for Serbia and yet another evidence that nothing can be done by force and without agreement with official Belgrade.”

Mali added according to IOTA Charter only states recognized by the United Nations can be members of IOTA.

Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic commented in Sarajevo on joint foreign policy of Pristina and Tirana and his earlier statement that Serbia could do the same with Republic of Srpska by saying “we could, why not,” B92 reports.

Dacic made these remarks at the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit. Asked to comment on the absence of Kosovo and Albanian delegations from the summit, Dacic said that in 2014 a decision was made, in line with the Brussels agreement, to enable Pristina participation in line with the agreed conditions.

The European Union does not have unified stance when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija and that is why one should not expect a swift reaching of an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, analyst Branko Rudin told Serbian national broadcaster RTS.

Foreign Affairs Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak said decision of Kosovo and Albania to boycott the summit in Sarajevo represents an implementation of announced joint foreign policy of Pristina and Tirana.

Crnadak made these remarks to Sarajevo-based Klix portal, adding that Kosovo delegation recently submitted visa request which points out there was obviously an intention to attend the summit.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was aware of the official Belgrade discontent against the west, due to the fact that neither Berlin nor Paris “pressed” Pristina strongly enough to revoke the tariffs it imposed on the goods from Serbia, Danas daily reports referring to diplomatic sources.

Instead of leading the European Union and clearly voicing their stances, European officials act and speak as they are the spiritual leaders from Tibet, and now they are spiritually opining about the problems of the continent, Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said. He added none of them is saying anything concrete on what needs to be done.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told national broadcaster RTS that reaching agreement with Albanians would present a valuable heritage for the future.

Still, he pointed out it is impossible to reach an agreement with Albanians as they say that "we have to recognize Kosovo within current border lines". I had always thought this is the issue that should be resolved solely by the Serbs and Albanians, and we could have succeeded in making a deal if they let us alone, Vucic concluded.

Serbia and Bulgaria have excellent relations while the latest developments and statements are only a temporary misunderstanding, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday commenting on the exchange of statements between Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic, BETA news agency reported.
