Ibrahim Kelmendi: I didn’t have plans to murder Xhavit Haliti (Express)
Ibrahim Kelmendi, who was accused by a unnamed witness that he offered him money to murder a senior Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) official, Xhavit Haliti, told Express that such accusations are false. Kelmendi said that he had no ambitions to replace the leader of the PDK, Hashim Thaci in his post. He claimed that he had some conflicts with Haliti before 1996, but according to him, he was not affected by it as to engage someone to kill him. “I will tell the same things to the Prosecution as well,” Kelmendi said. Kelmendi was one of the leaders of the Popular Movement of Kosovo, the political wing of the former Kosovo Liberation Army.
