Rama: United under the European flag (Kallxo/RTK)
At the third joint meeting between the governments of Kosovo and Albania, Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said Albanians will become united under the European flag. He said that neither Albanians nor the Balkans can enter the EU “fragmented”. He said remarkable progress has been made in the cooperation between Kosovo and Albania since the joint meetings of the governments began two years ago. Rama also spoke about the situation of the Albanian community in the Preshevo valley. “The rights of Albanians in the Preshevo Valley should be respected at least as much as minority rights are respected in Kosovo and Albania. For those not aware of how much these rights are respected, they can take example from the respect Kosovo has towards rights of Serbs”, Rama is quoted. Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, thanked the Albanian government for the support and said that Kosovo-Albanian cooperation was never better than it is now. He said Kosovo wants to have good neighbourly relations with all and that he doesn’t think Kosovo is giving away land to Montenegro through the border demarcation agreement. “We are merely marking the previous borderline”, said Mustafa.
