Assembly endorses resolution which suspends dialogue until Haradinaj's release (Lajmi.net)
Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Pal Lekaj, proposed today again during the Assembly session a resolution related to Ramush Haradinaj’s case. He said that discussions with Serbia should suspend until Haradinaj’s release.
The coalition government parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) were pro resolution for Haradinaj, however they said that the text of the resolution should be harmonized.
The two opposition parties, Vetvendosje movement and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), supported AAK resolution.
Head of the Vetevendosje Parliamentary Group, Glauk Konjufca, said that the government of Kosovo leads cowardly policies towards Serbia. According to him, the government of Kosovo should condition continuance of the dialogue with release of the former KLA commander, Ramush Haradinaj.
“Otherwise, the government also has within the Serbian List, which is Vucic’s mechanism. Serbia considers us terrorists, where you cross to e western country and suddenly you find yourself arrested based on documents. We have had a coward and yielding policy of this government towards Serbia,” Konjufca said.
Later during the session, the resolution which suspends dialogue with Serbia until Haradinaj's release was voted with 78 votes for and one against.
