The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, met in Canada with the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

They discussed the security situation in the region. Thaci informed Secretary General Stoltenberg about the campaign initiated by Kosovo institutions to involve the non-majority communities in the Kosovo Security Force. He also said that NATO role on guaranteeing peace in the region is irreplaceable.

President Thaci participated on Sunday at the Halifax International Security Forum, and then he traveled to Ottawa to meet representatives of political life and civil society.
