Kosovo’s Finance Minister, Bedri Hamza, signed today on behalf of the government of Kosovo a Memorandum of Understanding together with the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie, with which Kosovo will support financially the global coalition against ISIS.

“Except for the fact that this memorandum implements the decision of the government of the Republic of Kosovo number 14/09 dated 20 October 2017, it also proves our excellent relations and close cooperation on joint strategic interests. Through this memorandum, Kosovo is aligned also financially in support of the Global Coalition against ISIS and it will be ready to respond to other ways of cooperation, including offering of humanitarian aid, experts to clear fields from dangerous devices, as foreseen on the decision of the government on 20 October 2017,” notes a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawie said on this occasion that he is pleased with the fact that Kosovo reaffirmed its engagement on the Global Coalition against ISIS. He added that cooperation is crucial when it comes to combating extremism.
