Dacic: "Kosovo in UN? Never" (Serbian media)
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says that Serbia will not recognize Kosovo's independence and allow UN membership, and stresses that Pristina authorities daily send very diverse messages that are not related to reality, reports Serbian media.
In the case of Kosovo, a compromise should be sought, and for the statements of Hashim Thaci regarding the merger of Presevo, Dacic says that "he must say something, because he is attacked from all sides".
"They do not want to talk about correction, and they want about Presevo and Bujanovac? Very smart of them. And you know when it will happen, that KiM enter the UN, that we recognize them as a state? (lit.)When grapes grow on willows (a phrase in Serbian, meaning never)," Dacic told reporters in the embassy Greece in Belgrade.
Those who recognized Kosovo and made arrangements with Martti Ahtisaari, he says, are now amazed at the fact that they talk about the borders but were the first to declare Kosovo as a state and violate Serbia's integrity.
"We have come up with some proposals, and since they are against the correction of the borders, what do they propose to us?" Dacic asked, stating that the other party that does not want corrections wants Serbia to recognize Kosovo, and get the ZSO for the north of Kosovo.
"I say: Forget it, there's nothing of it,'' Dacic says.
